All VIS Carbon Fiber Hoods and Trunks are manufactured using a two-part construction design. The top layer is composed of carbon fiber material bonded to the hood surface with high-grade epoxy resin, and finished with an ultra-clear (Poly Shield), UV-protective polyurethane coating for a high gloss finish. A one-piece, smooth underside shell is fused to the top layer enhancing the product’s structural integrity. The edges are smoothed by hands to insure good quality finish all around. In 2014, we further improved on this manufacturing process by introducing the Vacuum Infusion Process V. , which utilizes a single-mold vacuum to produce parts that are 10-20% lighter than before while improving durability. We are transitioning our full spectrum of carbon parts to use the VIP process so that our customers can enjoy these improved products without incurring a huge cost increase. All VIS Carbon Fiber Hoods and Trunks come with a VIS badge of authenticity. Please be sure to look for the badge when purchasing. INSTALLATION OF AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCTS. These parts are require minor to significant modification and are designed for PROFESSIONAL AFTERMARKET INSTALLATION ONLY. Auto shops experienced in OEM installations may not be experienced in aftermarket fiberglass installation. Failure to use professional aftermarket installation will void all warranties and return policies, if applicable. Due to the materials used in production, the body kits will not be a direct bolt-on. These body kits may require prepping, heating, sanding, shaving, filling gaps, cutting, or other extensive body work. All fitment return case is require to provide a ASE certified body shop business name, info, business license and installation receipt. When the part arrives, open the box and wrapping to inspect the entire part for any damage at all, BEFORE signing anything (regardless how good OR bad the box looks). If anything was wrong at all, damage, flaw or otherwise and you do not want to keep it and fix, write Damaged on the receipt, refuse it and do not write or say ANYTHING else to the driver since they may manipulate or misinterpret what you say to take responsibility off themselves.
